Picture day lets the world know that school is officially in session. But amid a pandemic, it can also show signs of the times. Mask up in school is a number rule for the Peoples' family. So when first-grader Mason was asked to take his masks down for a school picture, he took it so seriously, he refused.
In a FB post, the mother recounts the moment.
Photographer: Ok, take your mask off.
Mason: My mom said to keep it on all the time unless I'm eating and far away from everybody.
Photographer: I'm sure it's ok to take it off for your pictures.
Mason: No, my mom seriously told me to make sure to keep it on.
Photographer: Are you sure you don't want to take it off for 2 seconds?
Mason: No Thank you, I always listen to my mom!
Photographer: Ok, say cheese!
I'm so proud of him for sticking to his word but I should have been more clear about my rules on this day: said Nicole Peoples.

(6,161 posts).... and have a tale to tell his kids and grandkids.
Hopefully, he will never have to answer the typical "hey dad what did you do in the war".
How many generations of kids have asked that question.
I can't say much for the photographer's background artwork.
