And have the patient piss all over you and deny that there's anything wrong, or if the sickness is too apparent, that Covid has anything to do with it.

I'm afraid I'd tell the nurses "comfort care" and go see another patient I could help.

Under normal circumstances, the job is difficult enough. You get into the business because you want to succeed. You want to help people, you want to fix problems, you want to see patients go home as healthy as they can be. Most of the time, you're successful. But that's not what you think about when you go to bed at night. You think about the times you didn't succeed, and wonder what you could or should have done differently.

Now, you have to deal with the public aggressively distrusting you, shitting all over your profession and your character.

Physician burnout is real. And it's been bad lately.

cyanide pills around and a packet of Kool-Aid? It's so hard to imagine how people can buy this BS when they're laying there gasping for breath, especially when there's a second life to consider. No wonder so many medical people are resigning. It must be very depressing and discouraging.

Make room for other people who need care AND save the doctors and nurses the curse of having to deal with them.

This woman will probably die quietly and others are actually harming others due to their bizarre beliefs. A nation cannot support this many people who are so thoroughly brainwashed.

It’s so tragic the fear and ignorance (in the true sense of the word) that just destroys these people. I imagine it’s terrible for him to deal with, but I also think it helps to know he’s done absolutely all he can. The fear and lie-spreading are as virulent as Covid, and now more deadly. That kind of striving to save those women and babies is noble beyond measure. I hope they all find a whole lot of strength somewhere to go on.
