Well liked unvaccinated 4th grade teacher in Wake County (NC) dies from COVID

Expressed regret before she died for not getting vaccinated. Left four daughters and a husband. She scheduled the oldest to get vaccinated before she died and said the other teens would also be vaccinated.

Apparently she caught COVID while on a family trip in August.

This story is getting a lot of play in local Raleigh media, both on TV and in print.

You can only hope that some of the stories of these people will motivate some of the unvaxxed to go get vaccinated.

One more needless death.

We’re averaging one Covid death a day in this county, and the school board still will not require masks. Smh.

I got my vaccination in what feels like years (actually months) ago. I'm mostly on my own, so I cannot imagine how hard this is for her family. Well-liked or not, she was extremely selfish.

People who can’t get vaccinated for medical reasons risk their lives because of these selfish assholes.

Notice they only express regret when it affects them. Until then, they don’t give a shit because it’s other people getting sick.

I would kick up an enormous fuss. It’s educational malpractice. Same thing goes for healthcare workers. If I’m in a hospital room I will refuse every unvaccinated practitioner the right to treat me or for that matter - enter my room. This is unthinkably careless stupid shit.

She was a domestic terrorist and her repuke-looking husband likely is too. A year and 1/2 into a pandemic and she still ignored her responsibility to her own family, community, country and profession.

FUCK every single one of these "well-liked" traitors to humanity.

The Mongones have four daughters, ages 17 to 7, and all but the oldest daughter became infected with the virus after a trip to Charlotte. Everyone recovered but Merridith Mongone.
