Chris Cuomo accused of a sexual harassment incident from 2005?

That's right, 2005. Not siding with Cuomo at all but this seems w-a-a-a-a-a-y late considering the recent headlines made about his brother's high profile harassment charges, not to mention the whole me_too movement of 2017-18.

In her essay, Ross said she did not want Chris Cuomo to lose his job, but suggested he should “make this a watershed moment instead of another stain” on his career.

“I hope he stays at CNN forever if he chooses,” she wrote. “I would, however, like to see him journalistically repent...

It's news. If you do something shitty, you shouldn't be surprised if it comes to light years later. Besides, there are men who need to see other men routinely chastised for sexual harassment. Otherwise they'll do the same themselves.

I think he’s an ass actually, but CNN won’t fire him.

He was probably a bit more secure in his job before his brother got the boot though.

from back then. CNN can't just ignore it and not expect backlash from its women employees and womens' groups.

Tapper is no fan of his, and I assume he has influence there.

On the other hand, they’ve had Stelter making excuses for him regardless his brother, just as he defended Toobin.

CNN didn’t fire Toobin even though he waved wee willie around in a workplace zoom meeting.

I hope you’re right though.

You know, open secret in the industry and all that. It seems a lot of news networks have environments much like Hollywood. Everyone inside the industry knows, it's on the Internet often, but no one ever really does anything about it. Power, politics, money, etc.

Maybe Ross is coming forward so others will feel more comfortable doing so. Maybe she heard something. Maybe she's just pissed off he was helping his brother cover his shitty behavior up. You wonder why now. Well, maybe that was her tipping point. He was attempting to help his brother diminish other women's experiences.

That's what happened in other cases. We get one person coming forward, and suddenly there are eight people in rapid succession. They suddenly have the confidence that they'll be taken seriously with less chance of retributive consequences.

I guess we'll see. We have no idea yet. But I'm not dismissing it out of hand. Too many of these, "It's one accusation from years ago!" unfold into a total shitfest and pattern of bad behavior.

And I have no idea how he's still on the air at a news network after the massive ethical breaches that were all that fun he had with his brother. CNN just brazened on through that one. MeToo wasn't even a thought on butterfly wings when he actively participated in covering up the treatment of women.

When an accusation comes out, I wait to see if more follow. If not, I don’t consider the accused a big problem. Men who do it usually do it whenever they think they can get away with it.

If he wrote apologies, that could indicate he knows he did something wrong.

from him back then in it. He totally did it. My point was why she waited all those years and then thru Me_too and then thru the months of headlines of his brother's harassment case?

That is when a woman is assaulted.
Now, it’s when a man is exposed as an assaulter.

One person can control the outcome, the other cannot.

One major reason to keep your f’g hands to yourself.
