(17,066 posts)I have several acquaintances who dropped out of high school, got a GED or similar, and later went to grad school. It does not necessarily indicate lack of intelligence or education.

(29,322 posts)Im about the same age as Boebert (Im only a few weeks older) and have a GED. I do have some community college but when I was in high school I was playing catch-up from switching schools so it was easier to just drop out and get a GED. I also got a 111 GT score when I enlisted in the Army.
It does surprise me Boebert is in Congress and Im sitting at home and we both have GEDs.

What we really need is to move our electorate away from their penchant for electing bumble-f*cks because - "Tellin' it like it is," "Sharing a beer" or "Not one of them ivory tower elites." As long as the voter is looking for the lowest common denominator ... This is what we get. And - to be honest, this is representative democracy.
