Fun fact. #Covid19 cases are likely now WAY understated due to the prevalence of at-home test kits

Fun fact. #Covid19 cases are likely now WAY understated due to the prevalence of at-home test kits that won’t get logged to any county or state database

I can tell you of two cases in *this* household

Yes. Wife and I are breakthrough cases. Showed positive from BinmaxNow test

Went for the Regeneron treatment yesterday. Last night was pretty rough for me. Much better at the moment

But hundreds of these things are taken at home daily and aren’t. Ring reported to state databases

1. Where did you have to go for the Regeneron treatment? Hospital or outpatient?

Hope you continue to do better.

Yes I agree, with the home kits, the official numbers are not going to reflect the actual cases.

You show a positive Covid test and then they give you the treatment?

What does the treatment entail?

And you feel better pretty quickly?

I have not heard of this kind of large group treatment in my area.

I was negative on Thur but had congestion. Positive Friday morning. Wife was positive Thur afternoon and had just lost smell and taste so we made an appt for her. Added me on fri morning

Four shots

One in each arm (subcutaneous) and two in the stomach

Typically should see improvements in 24-48 hrs

And anyone in the house exposed is eligible so kids going down later to be safe

Wife and son have asthma. My cholesterol is a tad high and we could stand to lose weight but not obese. Just a little overweight

5. Wow. Thank you so much for the information.

I have not paid much attention to this kind of treatment, so I have been remiss.
This is important stuff.

I am concerned about break through Covid, and had no idea there was widespread treatment for it.

Four shots, two in stomach seems brutal, but of course it beats the alternative: intubation, death or long haul sxs.

My daughter works in a hospital and has severe asthma, so I worry about her.
If she gets ill I will bug her about this tx. Sometimes she puts off taking care of herself.

Many thanks for this information, Roland.

6. I wonder if the dispensing clinic reports you as a positive case?

There are quite a few wrinkles in how statistics are collected.

8. Possible but there's no lab report.

I’d have to look up the state report and see if self report is a category but I’d be surprised

And any case that is beyond mild is going to be registered since that person will need treatment.

13. Interesting. I just saw them at Walgreens last week and it was like $99 for one test.

And they had a strict limit of 4. (which made me think. who the hell spends $400 on a test you can for free?)

$14.99 and $12 isn't bad at all
