1. It is kind of long and thin,....

.... my guess would be a cat visitor with a bushy tail rather than being a short and stout raccoon.

2. Cats do that sideways jump on a dime.

With those bushes around, I suspect it was a cat that jumped sideways at the moment the light clicked on.

I've seen Goblin jump 3 ft up and 4 ft. to the right in an instant when jump-started by one of the sisters lying in wait.
