A teacher at an Ohio day care center has been charged with assault after he was caught on camera shoving a four-year-old student to the ground.

James Ciolino, an educator at the Wilde Kingdom Early Learning Center in Fairfield, Ohio, aggressively pushed the little girl during a class conducted on June 21.

Video of the incident was published by LOCAL 12 earlier this week in light of the assault charge being filed.

The disturbing clip, captured by a classroom surveillance camera, shows the unnamed girl being brought into Ciolino's classroom by another employee, identified as Jennifer Miller.


Ciolino, who is reportedly 6-feet tall and about 315 pounds, then suddenly shoves the victim, immediately sending her to the floor.


'Get out of here,' Ciolino is heard telling her before he goes back to an activity with other students in his class.

So, we're just making-up punishments now because we are shocked at his behavior? Why stop at 25 years? Why not life? Why not the death penalty?

I understand the sentiment and anger that motivates people saying things like that... but it really serves no good purpose.

When this gets to court, he'll be punished according to the crime that he's charged with... or, there will be a plea deal that the prosecutor and judge agree is an appropriate one... I'm certain.

... and arbitrary sentences aren't what we do in this country. That's more in line with how they do it in Afghanistan... arbitrary, no guidelines, depending on the mood of the judge... or the anger of the crowd with their torches and pitchforks and hot tar.

She knew something was off with the kid, immediately checked the video, canned both their asses, and called the police.

The principal did the right thing and immediately fired the staff who participated. And immediately contacted the family.

That’s not always how these things play out so I was happy to see that.
