I saw my first black flag on the edge boundary of Winter Park yesterday.

For those who want to know what it means, refer to this post:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/100215862507

Essentially, they are people who are saying out loud that they will support a civil war that will include knocking down the doors of non-conservatives.

I didn't know it when I first saw that flag flying on the edge of that house, so my thoughts were free and untethered. My initial thought was that this definitely couldn't be a flag that has anything to do with black lives matters, because no white conservative would allow anyone dicking with our flag's colors. And yet, white conservatives have been steadily doing just that over the last few years.

They have been fighting a war of ideology, trying to take over the country one symbol at a time. The flag was an obvious choice, but, that didn't seem to always make their case. Just recently they were waving the red, white and blue from their trucks, alongside of the Confederate flag. But the uproar against the Confederate flag is putting a dent in their attempt to spread their dual message. So, now they're trying to change the colors of the red white and blue.

Their new flag aptly represents their cause: A black flag. To me, it is suggestive of many things. It is the reverse of what America stands for, which is exactly what they're shooting for. (Literally.) The Bizarro version of America.

To me it is a metaphor for segregation and white supremacy ideology. It's like they aren't even willing to share the three colors of the flag with us, like they can't share anything else. So, let's just say it aloud. When it comes to supporting what America stands for, their colors ran.

I miss the days when these losers hovered over their am radios at 3am to hear people who were as insane as they are, but now they are on social media and places like OAN and the other rw "news" sites that are all over some cable services.

Watch out for these unAmerican violent extremists. They want to kill you and take over this country.

… already. Ever since early last year he’s had a succession of Trumpista-affiliated flags, including but not limited to a gigantic elect-Trump one hanging from the second floor & covering a lot of the front of his house. That’s gone, but the 2 flagpoles angling out from the house have continued with Don’t Tread on Me, Recall Newsom, and some things I couldn’t make out. Like the defaced Stars & Stripes: the way it hangs makes it hard to see what was done to it.

Since I first read about the black on black flag here I’ve been curious to see if anyone in our little coastal city has the balls to openly declare themselves that way, but this is the first time it occurred to me to wonder about the *hole up the hill. Time to walk the dog that way again.

Oddly enough, we do have an HOA that takes care of common areas. Allegedly they’d stop me from painting the whole house red or something, but basically they mind their own business. For me, the black flag would be a bridge too far, and would merit an actual complaint.

I’ve mentioned this guy before — it galls me that the media and pundits remain fixated on us having to “understand” the economically insecure white people whose world has changed, when the boasting and the arrest records from the insurrection show that a not-insignificant number of those people were quite well off. I mean, a bunch of realtors from Beverly Hills went, and that was my first major clue.

I was from NJ and they treated me ok. When I went to law school in Texas, however, my NJ license plates got me stopped by cops everyday. When Southerners come up north, however, retreat them with respect and dignity dignity for the most part. Remember the Winter Park sink hole? I was there when it made national news.

"retreat them with respect." Oddly, that's what I do to make it through the day around here. Retreat when I see them, but with respect.

The sinkhole that gobbled up five Porsches. They might have recovered one, but I'm not sure. But I remember everything else. They turned the land behind that area into a wonderful park for kids. The sinkhole is still there turning into a cautionary lake, with fencing. And to make sure it doesn't take errant soccerballs, a huge net.

its vaccination rates. I hope he has success.

I don't remember Eric Bolling, but I don't watch Fox news. Funny how we have so many creeps graduating from the same college that gave us Mr. Rogers. Though, Mr. Rogers, to me, was already representative of a time long past by the time I was going to school. Like Mayberry. An ideal that lots of people have in their minds that America was once like, or supposed to be, but never was.

East India Tea Company. I LOVED that place. Kept me sane. The last time I walked by (the old location) I thought about all the places that I have visited in Orlando, that no longer exist.

I had not heard this and I decided to investigate. It is just like the OP said, and it is all over the Internet. What flabbergasted me was how many types of flags like this are available on Amazon. I don't know how to react to this, I do know that no one is going to break down my door, if they try, it will be the biggest mistake of their life.

If the discussion is about the national flag with the red and blue parts replaced with black (and sometimes even upside down) then I'd like that to be made clear. When I read "black flag", I'm thinking of a rectangular piece of black cloth.

Regarding the other "with the red and blue parts replaced with black":
I've seen it in my neighborhood with the blue stripe and I think it's the "blue lives matter", pro-police crowd.
I've seen that one flown upside down as well. That's really a huge signal that some cops may already be a co-opted entity which has deeply infiltrated every facet of society.

I never cared for flag waver types, ever, but these guys are the nails across the chalkboard of Americana.

the black flag was touted as the flag of the extreme Anarcho-Capitalist branch of the Libertarians. It signified no state.

In my city they even had a group that ended up being arrested for child abuse called the Black Flag Retribution Society. Members could be 'punished' for speaking pro-Statist ideas, and kids were fined for transgressions and forced to work off their fines with labor. The child abuse charges came when they found a 12 year old boy chained to an ironing board and being credited with 10 cents per ironed shirt for arguing with one of the adults.
