(15,074 posts)and cannot actually make any of this happen.
But there are plenty of idiots in the Arizona legislature who might be listening to her.
I agree that the state's taxpayers need to get angry and loud.

(4,422 posts)There is quite literally nothing that will convince a cultist to change their mind.
-Witness people dying of Covid who refuse to recognize that Covid is real. The election cultists (and yes, there is a lot of overlap) behave the same way. There is no amount of evidence or proof that will convince them.

(43,240 posts)it is insanity

(15,178 posts)...to ask them who they voted for, and matching those numbers to the election count. Which is, of course, insane, impractical, and a violation of the privacy of the voters.
I don't think the real technical meanings of the words matter here anyway. The game plan is to always insist there were "problems" that "need to be answered" whenever you don't get the result you want, to claim that whatever gave you an unwanted result was "clearly" rigged and/or insufficient to uncover the "problems" which exist because you say they exist, as a matter of faith, or a matter of feigned pretense.

(82,849 posts)That's what she's saying, isn't it? That Arizona suddenly lost the ability to hold an election? I wonder how state officials like being told they're that incompetent?

(50,544 posts)Too bad Im not a Democratic state legislator in Arizona. On Monday morning I would be dropping an across-the-board 25 percent tax increase with the funds earmarked for dead horse beating activities demanded by the Republicans.
Let me see
1) In November 2020 a presidential election was held. President Joe Biden won the state. He was inaugurated on January 20, 2021, and cannot be removed from office before January 20, 2025, by any mechanism other than impeachment and conviction. It must be noted that four impeachment trials for presidents have occurred in the United States Senate and none succeeded, so President Bidens job is safe.
2) Since that time the Arizona Republican Party has spent taxpayer dollars nonstop to try to prove President Biden lost the state. In the most famous episode, the Cyber Ninjas proved President Biden received more votes in Maricopa County than the official count indicates, and former President Trump received fewer.
3) Since the GOP seems unable to accept reality, I hereby file the Dead Horse Beating Enhancement Act. It has four sections.
4) Section 1 provides for raising all state-level Arizona taxes by 25 percent.
5) Section 2 restricts the Arizona Republican Party to using only funds raised by the Dead Horse Beating Enhancement Act for their quixotic quest.
6) Section 3 provides that the tax increase will be suspended as soon as every elected Republican in the state provides a signed statement in which they admit the election results are in fact accurate and that they will cease efforts to overturn the election. The funds collected by the new tax will be returned to the citizens of Arizona six months after the letters are signed.
7) Section 4 provides that if the Arizona Republican Party or any member of that organization, if they decide to mount another idiotic election challenge after the funds have been returned, will be charged with the felony of Fiscal Mismanagement, be fined the sum of one thousand one-hundred twenty dollars ($1120), be imprisoned in the Arizona State Prison for forty-six (46) days, and will be permanently barred from owning guns or holding elected office.

(16,926 posts)Although no matter how often it is quoted, doesn't change the r's.
The definition I have in mind: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
And I wonder if the r's who survive Covid-19 are going to get tired of this exercise in futility and change parties?

I thought that our votes were private.
