At any rate, the best Margaret Thatcher hands down was Meryl Streep. She got an Oscar for her portrayal and whenever I think of Thatcher, I think of Streep's portrayal of her...

(81,238 posts)And tittering ensued. i remember how it was when I covered this stuff (years ago). If you were asking a question, you did NOT want to reveal yourself as being ignorant. Everybody else in the room knew who you were and they'd all be talking and laughing at you behind your back, and your credibility would have just waltzed down the throat of the closest porcelain facility. And - as we see here - somebody made sure to save a clip - if for no other reason than the end-of-the-year in-house party gag reel.
