The legendary Sissy Farenthold, who ran for Texas governor in the 1970s, has passed away at age 94

She was also a delegate to the 2016 National Convention. One of the senior persons in the state party put me in charge of making sure that Sissy made it off the bus and into the hotel on one of the last nights of the national convention. Sissy was an amazing person.

Blake Farenthold, the fat sexist Repuke who looks like Alfred E. Neuman and served a few years in Congress, is her step-grandson.
