Have you noticed, Trump-humpers?

Have you noticed that all of that 'evidence' of election fraud - that people like Sydney Powell and Rudy Giuliani keep claiming they have - has yet to be revealed?

Have you noticed that anti-vaxxers are dying, while the vaccinated aren't?

Have you noticed that your 'Christian preachers' are living in multi-million dollar homes thanks to your donations for them to preach the word of Jesus - which they never actually do?

Have you noticed that the politicians who you keep re-electing because they've promised to do something for your state have accomplished absolutely nothing despite multiple years in office?

Have you noticed that you're being played when being told not to believe your own eyes and ears as the January 6th insurrection unfolded in real time - being told that what happened didn't actually happen?

No, you haven't noticed - because you're easily-manipulated idiots who still believe that a self-proclaimed pussy-grabbing, utterly deranged grifter exemplifies what a POTUS should be.

Well, good luck to those of you who still believe that your Dear Leader will run again and WIN in 2024 - because you obviously haven't noticed a damned thing.

Rational discussion is no longer, tribalism has taken over. Democracy is doomed.

But tell me, what makes you think that the former will not run again and win (i.e., be elected ) in 2024? What does the fact that his supporters are ignorant white trash have to do with anything?

He lost (by a lot) in November 2020 because his supporters didn't number enough to re-elect him.

The people who rejected him in 2020 aren't going to change their minds about him - so where are the votes he'd need to win in 2024 going to come from?

The GOP isn't working on "getting out the votes" - instead they are telling their constituents that elections are rigged, which will surpress turnout among their own voters who believe their votes won't count.

The MAGA movement is diminishing, not growing. So again, how does Trump get enough votes in 2024 when he didn't have enough votes in 2020 when the MAGA movement was at its peak?

Many Republicans have left the GOP as a result of Trump's antics. They aren't going to vote for the guy that they abandoned their own party over.

Trump lost last November - which was before the events of January 6th. Many were horrified by what happened, and won't be voting to re-elect the man responsible for it.

Last November's election was also before the revelations about how he attempted to overturn states' elections, and bully them into not certifying their state's vote count. "Just find me 11,800 votes." "Just say the election was corrupt, and leave the rest to me."

The 2020 election was also before the indictment of the Trump organization, and the ongoing investigations into Trump's illegal activities both while in office and in his personal dealings.

Not all Republican voters are Trump-humpers, and many of them would sit out a 2024 election if he's on the ticket after what they're learning about him now, and what they will be learning over the next three years.

So that begs the question: If Trump didn't have the votes necessary to win in 2020, how is he going to get the votes necessary to win in 2024? Where are they supposed to come from?

Justice matters.

after again losing the popular vote, and the presumed electoral vote---via Republican state legislatures in certain states throwing out the votes of their people, and sending their own Trump electors instead.

You're quite right, I don't see how he could "win" either... but Republicans all over the country are doing whatever they can to set up a "steal" for next time...

will be the path taken. However, so many things can happen between now and then that yours is just one possibility.

You say he lost by 'a lot', and that those who rejected him in 2020 won't be back. Perhaps not, but he did receive 11.2 million more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016.

And then there is the ongoing 'electoral/voter reform', as mentioned in post #21 by poster Justice matters. Whether or not these initiatives are constitutional remains to be seen, but with the change in the judiciary who knows. At the very least it will create an intense amount of chaos.

And who knows whether or not Biden will run in 2024. Or what if he does and there are signs that his age has caught up with him. If he doesn't run, there will no doubt be a vigorous primary campaign. Will Kamala be the choice, and if so, would she beat the former.

A lot can happen in the next several years. We could experience another 9/11 type of attack, and guess who would get the blame for that, especially in light of today's hearings.

I prefer your scenario, but we are even now being warned by the likes of Ken Burns "The three great crises before this: The Civil War, the Depression, and World War II" and Bob Woodward "American Democracy will continue to be tested".

RE: "He did receive 11.2 million more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016."

2020 was a record year for voter turnout. Biden won by the most votes in US history. Both (D)s and (R)s had more votes than in previous elections.

Whether Biden, Harris, or any other Democrat is on the ticket in 2024 is irrelevant to this discussion - which is about whether Trump will run and win.

Again, I have to ask where will the votes come from to give him the majority if he does run? The people have spoken on the topic of a Trump presidency - and I've yet to see any evidence that those who voted against him are open to changing their minds.

Yes, anything can happen in the next three years - but nothing on the horizon bodes well for Trump; in fact, it's all negative. He's under investigation for a myriad of criminal activities, he incited an insurrection, he's embroiled in countless lawsuits, and his "brand" has become toxic.

Trump was elected on the boast that he was a self-made billionaire, a genius who graduated at the top of every school he attended, a straight-shooter who was going to "drain the swamp" in DC. When he left office, all of these boasts were proven to be lies.

So what does he run on in 2024? How does he convince the majority of voters that his disastrous "pResidency" wasn't what we all now know it to be?

And then there's his obvious mental decline. The more pressure he's under, the more he shows signs of cracking. I suspect that over the next year or so, his mental and physical decline will become more apparent. Even those who adore him won't vote to put a feeble old man, completely divorced from reality, in the WH and the role of Commander-in-Chief.

My prediction is that within the next 18 months, any discussion about Trump being elected again will be moot. He's already damaged goods - and the damage continues on an ongoing basis.

That was after telling the rubes for forty years that they would be all over it when they had a chance.

No matter who bolted that abby normal head onto an obese body to create the monster,
There were 62,984,828 of his marks who fell for the MAGA con, actually believed “You’re going to be so rich” even as their Trump sticker covered jalopies broke down, many of them have created the most harebrained anti-scientific conspiracy nonsense in earth’s entire history, are having infantile racist tantrums, become a cabal of disease vectors, have completely demolished any good aspects that many Christian groups once believed for ultimately greedy, idiotic idol worship, believe they have cornered the market on “patriotism” while polluting and practicing egregious waste of ever dwindling resources even to the devastating calamity of their progeny, happily allow the greediest subsegment of society to all powerful advantage, and now have become only ever so slightly aware they made a horrific mistake but became too invested in it all to admit it.
Surely anyone with enough intellect to realize the calamities they are supporting will go down in history as idiotically shameful, their entire mission of “owning duh libs” utterly meaningless, rendering their “culture war” a loser for both sides, the entire MAGA religion more ridiculous almost daily.
Oh, but they can hug “their pillow” while escaping the flood below and the fires above.
