A hacker claims to have stolen and leaked reams of data from the Oath Keepers, the far-right militia group whose members were present at the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The roughly 5GB of data, which was provided by the hacker to the journalist and transparency collective Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoSecrets), contains everything from emails and internal chats to details on the organization’s members and donors.

Composed of current and former military and police who believe they are defending the U.S. Constitution against a tyrannical government, the Oath Keepers have become a focal point of the ongoing federal investigation into the Capitol riot after at least 19 members were charged for their alleged involvement.

The hack includes, among other things, the militia’s Rocket.Chat server, an open source communication platform where members coalesce. An older archive details messages made in June 2020 while a second cache shows messages sent from March 2021 up until Sept. 19.

More than 10,000 emails from the inboxes of high-profile members including state chapter leaders were also found in the breach, with dates ranging from Jan. 13 to Sept. 19.

of current and former members".

I wonder how many would claim membership right now? Everything is great when no one knows you're a member of a domestic terrorist organization, but when you turn on the lights, the roaches scatter back into their hidey-holes.

How many buried their cammo and far-right literature in the past few days?

If it doesn't agree with their narrow right-wing interpretation of matters, it's unconstitutional.

This "tranny" must be met head on with their best LARP military costumes, and like you said, their big, loud penis extensions.

VICTORY!

As kids, we didn't find out what he "really" did until 30 years after his discharge. Some of the technology he was using is still classified.

The times when he was training and using the technology show up as a big generic (training assignment) gap in his military records jacket. Which I applied for and received after his death in 1999.

He and my Mom are buried in the Veterans Cemetery in Massachusetts.

I sure hope they are held accountable for their treason.

In reality, they hate us for our freedom. They believe only they can have freedom and only as they define it.

They all think they are the nation’s “warriors” cuz’ they are all “gunned-up”. They forget there are a world of us who are conservative or liberal who don’t think that way - and know how to use weapons either as sportsmen hunters or former military.

I’m almost as liberal as you can get, served in the Army in the Vietnam era in an armor Bn with the 1st Infantry Div., and I’m qualified on weapons from the .45 pistol to the main battle tank!

I don’t think I’m alone in this.

With this caveat :

Sensitive materials restricted

While the emails and chat logs are being made available to the public, the remainder (a small minority of the files) is only being provided to journalists and researchers due to the presence of PII, financial information, passwords, decryption keys and other information which could be abused.

Right. Like feeding the poor, clothing the naked, sheltering the homeless, being sure everyone is treated with respect, and following Christ's example and teachings is tryannical.

Lots of smart and devious young hackers in the world. They like having a clean climate, they might want to have kids someday that have a future.

These young hackers need to target as many of these right wingnuts individually and notify their employers and target their businesses and their hate groups. Make life a living hell for them until they are shunned and pushed as far out of society as possible.
