Cash Flow

Let's say you are a business that takes in a flow of money everyday.

And let's say that for some reason you want to run a lot of TV ads before a certain date. Say it's Christmas. You will take in money as Christmas approaches, but that money won't help you book ads today to run during the Christmas season

So you go to the bank and say, there's this certain date and I have to do a lot of expensive stuff before that date. I will continue taking in money next week and next month, but it would be useful to have the use of some of that future money today because the ads I want to run and people I want to hire need money short-term.

So I would like a short-term loan.

Credit is, ideally, about managing cash-flow.

Substitute election day for Christmas.
