Ana Navarro just destroyed TFG and TFG Jr. in one brutal tweet...

Last edited Mon Sep 27, 2021, 04:43 PM - Edit history (1)

Holy shit balls! Ana Navarro has none to give. These idiots just need to take the L.. It also highlights how far Kim Guilfoyle has fallen since Gavin kicked her to the curb.

Given the Ana Navarro news, I think it’s time for a national conversation about the dangers of Covid-19 & obesity. https://t.co/e3vdsBvOOc— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) September 24, 2021

[link:@DonaldJTrumpJr, thanks for your concern.I don’t have COVID. Fortunately for you, if you want to have a conversation about the effects of obesity on people with COVID, your dad is a phone call away…assuming he answers your calls.Or just ask your sister to call him for you. https://t.co/1v6GISIt5B— Ana Navarro-Cárdenas (@ananavarro) September 25, 2021 |

There are epic threads, but that is not a thread.

Yes, well aware of modern usage of the word "epic", but I prefer meaningful English, not hyperbolic, everything-is-awesome English.

And I realize you might have a different preference.

I do personally enjoy a loose and free-flowing mix of formal and playful vernacular (extra points for double entendres and neologisms), but not a fan of 'clickbait' style English so popular on social media these days.
Just a typical example, claiming someone "eviscerated!" another person on Twitter is not just lazy and inaccurate, but a tiresome use of cliches.

Awesome post, by the way.

So many headlines like this. "DESTROYS! SHREDS! CRUSHES" Oh, put thesaurus.com down, would you.

Or there will be the inevitable, "Tweet seen by a few thousand wins the Internet!" Huh. Billions of people doing other things, but PhilLikesSlugz54 took it all home, did he?

It feels like Buzzfeed started this shit.

And it feels like, most of the time, these DESTROYING tweets are common, idle observations most of us made before it was posted by a celebrity and did all this wrecking.

So Ana Navarro called Trump fat.

When's her Netflix stand up special?!

But man, that thesaursing drives me batty. You can always tell when a writer was reaching for it.

For Trump, I'd just use "tantrums" with just about everything he says. That's all it ever is. Or maybe, "Trump's snoot booped." If he's going to be ridiculous, may as well write like he is.

It's funny, because as I'm posting this reply (procrastinating), I'm beta reading and editing some classmates' papers for them that are due on Thursday. And my most common margin comment is, "Why is everything in passive voice?"
