89% on the dental et al question, 78% on negotiating drug prices, etc.

It's all so unpopular! We probably shouldn't even attempt it. Just in case we get punished by . . . I dunno, DeSantis?

You'd think the media would mention the polls from time to time in reporting on the looming Republican stalemate: The Republicans want the country to default on its obligations because they don't want these very popular proposals enacted.

Those things the Majority of voters wanted would already be enacted.

But only what the filthy rich....maybe a total of 300 people....want are ever a priority. That's what uncontrolled campaign contributions, frequently called bribes, does to democracy. Thank the Supreme Court.

for the republicans to obstruct it then campaign on "Democrats controlled the White House, the House and the Senate and got nothing done." 90% of their voters will take that at face value. How many times did Trump say "The do-nothing Democrats" while the republicans in the Senate obstructed everything and no one, including the press called him on it. Now they don't even have to own up to controlling the Senate.

And of course, the republicans don't want any of those things passed, which is just icing on the cake.

I don't know why Democrats don't hang it around Republican necks. Run down the list of things that would have been improved by passing the bills, e.g., better schools, roads and bridges repaired, and say that none of this happened because of Republican obstructionist tactics. Tell the story, with specifics tailored to the locale or the audience.

It simply isn't true. And polls like that are meaningless because the issues polled are not voting issues.

We need the votes. That means we need to win more elections. We need to unite to beat the repubs. We need to not have infighting. It's pretty clear we need to focus on voting in huge numbers for the Dems for the Midterms of 2022.

Gerrymandered states like Ohio? We can get out the vote til the cows come home to no avail. The pukes have this godforsaken state so tilted to their advantage I just don’t think it can be overcome. Hope the Elias lawsuit can help.

They support our policies, yet vote for Republicans. Biden's approval rating should be 70%, yet it's in the 40's. He's done nothing wrong.
