Sean Hannity: America should "maybe charge people to be citizens"

https://www.mediamatters.org/sean-hannity/sean-hannity-america-should-maybe-charge-people-be-citizens

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Citizenship is a valuable, coveted thing all around the globe. America, the greatest country in the world -- how much would people pay to be a citizen here?

Maybe we should also get in on this action and maybe charge people to be citizens -- every other country appears to be doing it. Here in the U.S., where we let in more immigrants than anywhere else on Earth, we don't ask for a penny. Instead, in theory, we merely ask immigrants to follow our laws and we need to do more.

Hmmm.....maybe we could call it TAXES......dumbass.

You know that next they're gonna say you have to pay to vote.

1. We DO pay a 'charge'...

..it's called taxes. 'Course HAMmity will say the immigrants don't, probably true in some cases but a lot of the born-and-bread don't either. He surely pays his tax man to find all the exemptions and probably claims a lot of 'business expense' items that ain't business.

Another big hypocrite and patriot imposter, in it for the money, assisting Trump in destroying our Democracy.

5. Beat me to it. Hannity could very well not realize that some Americans do actually pay.

That's kind of hard to believe. Someone has to be paying and Hannity knows it's not him. I wonder where he thinks it all comes from?

6. Other people have correctly said "taxes", but doesn't it also cost MORE to NOT be a good citizen?

If you're not a good neighbor to your fellow citizens, if you don't vote (Especially don't vote "to make a statement" ) or if you vote for clown-esque reasons ("I'm voting for the guy to own the libs, heh heh" or see the election that Duncan Hunter won for an even more salient example), if your response to ills is "not my problem", if you spread fake news and don't vet information, etc.; then I would say that actually does a lot of damage.
