Shocked I am, but she wants to get something done.

Pelosi De-Links Spending Bills
September 27, 2021 at 7:55 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 446 Comments

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi told House Democrats Monday night that she is no longer linking reconciliation and infrastructure, and said she would seek to pass the public works bill this week regardless of the status of the larger domestic spending bill,” Punchbowl News reports.

“Pelosi’s move is a direct challenge to progressives, who have warned that they will block the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill if reconciliation isn’t complete.”

“This is a clear sign that Pelosi and her leadership team plan to muscle the infrastructure bill through the House Thursday regardless of where negotiations with the Senate on the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package stand.”

to go forward with the reconciliation. It is voting separately but there still has to be an agreement.

When the agreement was made that compromised progressives, there was no reason to have two separate bills other than to enable conservadems to screw the American public. They expect to get their corporate-satisfying "bipartisan" bill, and deny working Americans needed things. All while making sure billionaires and corporations continue to use our infrastructure, receive corporate welfare, and pay no income tax.

6. It's only a symbolic delinking- CPC is still committed to the two track process

Jayapal has 60+ no votes to kill the bipartisan bill unless reconciliation passes first.

Pelosi, in her same statement announcing the delinking, also said she won’t bring a bill to the floor if it doesn’t have the votes.

So, unless a miracle happens in the senate in the next 72 hours, there won’t be a vote on the bipartisan bill on Thursday.

8. Exactly- and it doesn't appear that the CPC will fold- lots of strong-willed women in that group

That’s why I don’t think there will be a vote on Thursday.
