Pelosi De-Links Spending Bills
September 27, 2021 at 7:55 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 446 Comments
Pelosis move is a direct challenge to progressives, who have warned that they will block the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill if reconciliation isnt complete.
This is a clear sign that Pelosi and her leadership team plan to muscle the infrastructure bill through the House Thursday regardless of where negotiations with the Senate on the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package stand.

(10,045 posts)to go forward with the reconciliation. It is voting separately but there still has to be an agreement.

(10,429 posts)When the agreement was made that compromised progressives, there was no reason to have two separate bills other than to enable conservadems to screw the American public. They expect to get their corporate-satisfying "bipartisan" bill, and deny working Americans needed things. All while making sure billionaires and corporations continue to use our infrastructure, receive corporate welfare, and pay no income tax.

Pelosi, in her same statement announcing the delinking, also said she wont bring a bill to the floor if it doesnt have the votes.
So, unless a miracle happens in the senate in the next 72 hours, there wont be a vote on the bipartisan bill on Thursday.
