Someone who says, "I'm a patriot," is probably a Republican

Think about that phrase. Anyone who says, "I'm a patriot," is implying that they are a "real American." And without specifically saying it, they are also implying that anyone who doesn't think like them is not a "real American."

Ah, fascist thought and propaganda. Those who repeat stupid "I'm a patriot" type phrases are, for the most part, idiots who don't think for themselves. These are the type of people who are Trump's followers. They are his "troops." They are his voters. They are imbeciles.

And if it wasn't Trump, it would be some other would-be "Dear Leader" who desires full power for himself/herself, and is just using thoughtless fools to attain it.

The next time someone says to you, "I'm a patriot," or some phrase like, "Real Americans don't ...," or if they use the "N" word, no need to ask who and what they believe in. They believe in what they were taught to believe in and what they want to believe in. What they don't believe in is universal freedom, the value of the individual human being, and democracy.

Words have meaning. And those used by the ignorant and the haters give them away every time. The words they use could be considered to be verbal swastikas.

One was an Army Air Corp officer. Two built and repaired Liberty and Victory ships. One was USO.

My dad was a nearsighted Radar O'Reilly Army medical clerk. My wife's dad was a very bad-ass-refusing-arms Navy medic serving with the Marines.

I know how this works.

Myself was a lunatic with severe asthma and a knife scar on my arm, and no, the Navy didn't want to enlist me, but they did offer me a nice civilian job teaching.

I chose to teach in bad U.S.A. city instead, for lesser salary and less glory, which is how I met my wife.

It seems to me Republican "patriots" avoid all those altruistic motivations however they're able.

up at virtually all town events. The idea is to show their civic pride and of course patriotism, but virtually evfery vehicle is adorned with an American flag and a Trump flag or some such regalia. So the overt message is "We love our town" and the unmistakeable underlying message is "Vote Republican."

13 states 11 blue now fought the revolution as Patriots. My State has a stripe and a star in our flag. So there's that. They steal all words and emblems that are patriotic and call them theirs. Look at how they defaced the American flag with assholes ugly Puss all over it? Same as their media using unflattering language describing us. Putriot is my word for them.

My answer to "I'm a Patriot!" is
"And I've always been a Patriot."

The GOP has claimed words like Patriotism like they have claimed the flag.

And we let them get away with it.
Love of country is not owned by the GOP
Neither is the Flag.

Claim them for our own.

I've been told, they started wearing those little American flag lapel pins. (The Nixon era.)

Those pins were meant to say: "I'm more American than you are." (Today, many Dem politicians feel obliged to wear them.)

It's kinda' like the police wearing American flag patches on their uniforms. Do they think we're going to mistake them for Polish cops?
