I was in & out of chemical manufacturing facilities & labs all through my career, so goatees (or any facial hair other than a well trimmed mustache) were not allowed. Just in case one needed to don a respirator.
About 2 weeks before I retired, I started to let a goatee grow.
Had one for 3 years now.
So, I've got a goatee, but I'm not of their ilk!
I'm sure I'm not the only one.

6. Slate recently went after the Herman Cain Award Reddit, and they almost got shut down.

I don't know if it's some kind of coordinated attack, but there's definitely been increased attention from corporate media, who manage to completely miss the point.

The point, IMO, is that there are other angry people in the country besides the Trumper rubes who seem to be the only ones whose anger is acknowledged and deemed worthy of "understanding" by the major media.

I'm fucking sick of the whole country being held hostage by a bunch of bioterrorists, and appreciate the opportunity for a little bit of catharsis.

7. I was on that site first thing this morning.

It was a hot mess of anti-vaxxers. One guy posted this huge screed of outdated facts. I probably read a number of posts from people who will die in the near-term of COVID. They were very quick with the insults, very vulgar, and so cock-sure of themselves. Calling the vaccines "experimental" seemed to be a theme. Yeah, well all modern medicine is experimental at one point in its development.

The bull isn't a willing participant in the Plaza de los Toros. These folks extolling their ignorance, name-calling others, and ending their lives gasping for breath surrounded by machines and strangers are more than willing participants in their own demise. I didn't play the picador or deliver the finishing blow; they did that all by themselves, while crowding others out of clinics and hospitals who had the bad luck to get hurt or sick while they were acting out their little immorality play.

The commenters are also often creating some of the best "dark comedy" I've ever seen.

Someone noticed how many of the men have "goatees", and there are many quips about that-- The Goatee of Death.

It's a lot funnier than the invariably pasted memes the antivaxxers have about kicking Dr. Fauci in the butt and nuking Wuhan.

11. The "F*ck Your Feelings" RWNJs are actually ...

… The biggest punkasses out there. They lost five of their anti-mask/anti-vaxx broadcasters in a six week span. The fact that the mainstream media walked on eggshells about that clear show that something was wrong here tells you something. They were afraid to address this out of fear of being rained on by the super-reactive nut jobs.

So these sites stepped up to chronicle the trend. Brutally.

And as the trend continued to spike, the nut jobs didn’t want to be seen as being upset WHICH THEY MOST CERTAINLY WERE.

So they’ve enlisted some “both sides”/moderate toadies at a few media arms to digitally cluck their tongues at places like Reddit and SorryAntivaxxer to shut them up and take the heat off.

That’s what we’re seeing here.
