It takes place starting in 1968 and the family is Black. Dule Hill from The West Wing is the father.
The music is great. Constant social issues and commentary.

In addition, we laughed out loud at times and cried at the end.

to watch it. I never watched the first one, have no idea what it is about but I will watch this at least once because of Dule Hill.
