The restructuring of government required to effectively deal with our Climate Catastrophe will render it a non issue at some point in time, and, if no political or socioeconomic change takes place, well
..
Its much more likely the time will come when we declare ourselves free of this debt.

Having a debt ceiling is like first taking out a mortgage to buy a house and later deciding if you are actually going to pay the mortgage.

Kill the debt ceiling, all it does is provide leverage for obstructionists.
