WASHINGTON, Sept 29 (Reuters) - As partisan standoffs in the U.S. Congress risk a government shutdown and debt default, lawmakers took a timeout on Wednesday for one of Washington's few remaining bipartisan traditions: their annual baseball game.

The 2021 contest between the Democrats and Republicans, an event that typically raises over $1 million for charity, was played at Nationals Park, normally used by Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals.

The Republicans won, 13-12.

5. I think we need to audit the game.....

*Many people said* their pitcher was doctoring the ball. *There is powerful evidence* that the Dems actually scored more runs, and that someone added runs to the repuglikan total... *We have eyewitnesses* that the Rs doctored the scoresheets to show more hits and runs than actually occurred on the field. We must demand that the Rs turn over ALL the scoresheets, bats, gloves and balls used in the game to our auditors for forensic analysis.
