We had tickets for a touring production of Hamilton in June of 2020. That's now rescheduled to January 2022. At this point in time the performance hall says that masks are required, which is a very good start. But there's still the issue of restrooms. In the interval of time from departing the house until the show is over and we get back home, I would need one trip to the ladies' room. With the current rate of Covid in my area, I do not want to walk into a large room that has at least 60 stalls geysering out droplets every single flush. I'm also not keen to go the entire show length without a sip of any beverage, which is also prohibited right now.
Maybe by Jan 2022 the infection rates will have fallen. Maybe the touring companies are way too optimistic about how they will be able to pull this off. Maybe we'll decide that seeing the movie version was sufficient for now and we'll just chalk up the money spent on tickets as another entry on the list of Why 2020 And 2021 Sucked.
