It is also more that 7.5 trillion because the goddamned defense budget goes UP every goddamned year. 750 billion up from 700 billion last year, likely to get 780 billion next year without any real fight except for a few of the Progressive Democrats that always speak out.

They can ALWAYS find more money for WAR, but ask to spend some money on promoting the general welfare and it is a big "F You".

use cyber warfare than hardware warfare. But since the SC has made it pretty much legal to buy off congress-critters, we end up with bloated defense appropriations.

It is of course the biggest porker out there. I would not be surprised if every congressional district in the country has some "defense" contracts or base.

And don't forget the revenue side of the equation. It went down 20% with Trump's tax law. It would have gone down 50%, but taking away so many middle class tax exemptions got it back down to 20%.

Given that our military is one of our biggest expenditures, this tells us that a single bill is half the ENTIRE military budget?

Id rather downplay the 3.5 not compare it to the largest military on earth.
