(17,600 posts)For anyone who starts taking a critical med that is also critical to NOT take a double dose - come up with a system that works, and follow it, Every.Single.Time.No.Matter.What.
(also has the benefit that ADHD becomes irrelevant to this part of your life )

(2,550 posts)I have a system.
I don't know if I suffer from ADHD, but I very often forget if I've taken my meds or not.
Every evening before I retire, I put one of my bottles of medicine on a shelf over the kitchen counter. I put that bottle in the drawer in the morning after I've taken my meds.

OK, my friend called to go for a walk and I shut my computer - this was more than two hours ago.
Opened my computer just now to find this. I won't go through the intricate machinations to figure out whether I did or did not take the damn pills. Even those fail me because this morning I found twice as much of one med than should have been in "the place" either I forgot to take them or I forgot that I had put them in the "spot" and put another dose in.
Go figure
