But what I read is NOT to get them together. Flu and Covid are okay together, but not shingles. Wait two weeks between.

Now that I’ve booked it of course. I’ll just turn down the shingles at the time.

I've had a couple friends tell me make sure you don't have to work the next day after a shingles vax.

I need mine.

I had to wait a year+ before the shots for shingles were available. I called every month and they said "unavailable".

I never knew until I talked with the nurses in my family that shingles is highly contagious. They have to fully suit up when treating a shingles patient.

I am trying to decide if I get the booster and flu shot at the same time...the flu shot was hard on me with red swelling going down my arm. I think I will do it as two separate shots.

Everyone reacts differently.

Good luck.

A lot complain the shingles shot really stiffs up an arm for 3 days or more. See if they can even go same arm. Non dominant. If you get the achy arm, then at least you'll have one instead of potentially 2.

And, then 3 months later I got the shingles vaccine. OMG! Made the J&J seem like a walk in the park. I was so sick with the shingles vaccine and the welt on my arm (4x6 inches) was so sore and hot and didn’t go away for a full week. The shingles vaccine was a whopper and I still have to do the second shot.

a while back.

Zero side effects for either. Well, okay, the shot themselves were a bit painful, but absolutely nothing after that.

Neither dose of Moderna gave me much problem — like about 24 hours of tiredness, I took some naps and was fine.

Both doses of Shingrex knocked me on my ass for about 4 days, including a hot hard lump on my upper arm the size of my hand that lasted longer than the other symptoms.

Some people here get a reaction like that from their COVID shot — it’s quite individual.

Anyhow, when anti-vaxxers whinge about side effects and reactions from a shot they refuse to get, I wonder if that’s the kind of thing they are worried about.
