(5,376 posts)for harassing a woman in the women's restroom and video recording there.
The picture was fuzzy, but i believe that was a sign designating it as the women's restroom on the way in.
I can't tell if the female protester was video recording also, she might have been recording audio, but I suspect otherwise.
If she did record video she should be arrested also for violating a woman's right to privacy in a public restroom. Her phone was pointed directly at the stall Senator Sinema entered.
But, hey, I am not a lawyer so I might wrong; perhaps I'm just out of touch and very old fashioned about what's indecent.

The male definitely should be arrested, there was a sign on the way in designating it as the women's restroom and we watched his video.

Wait outside the crapper for her to come back out, then resume letting her hear that the people think her position and behavior is exactly like what she just flushed.

(26,760 posts)If she couldn't leave the country because there was no path to citizenship, then she can't vote.
Regardless... The vast majority of Democrats want her to change her vote... but the vast majority of Democrats would surely agree that the convincing should be done in a legal way.

(26,760 posts)The mature thing to do would be to ignore them.
The tempting thing to do would be to vote in the opposite direction from whatever they were demanding.
As the OP hints - there's almost zero chance that they helped their position.

A lot of those activists cant vote because they arent citizens. But they have family that can and will vote.

(26,760 posts)Red governor/AG/Treasurer... red legislature. Competitive senate races and upcoming governor race. Just barely blue in the last presidential race with the most offensive opponent imaginable.
It's trending blue, but the middle is far more important than the fringe in such a state... and anyone filming in a bathroom is beyond the fringe.
Letting nuts like this drive politics in the state is an easy way to give the state back to republicans.

I doubt that there's much of anything that three people (at least two of whom can't vote) can do to influence a US senator - except negatively (as shown here). Why not try much larger groups of people marching near her office such that it gets press coverage? Whether or not she's there, she'll get the message.
And no... "that didn't work" isn't a good enough excuse.

Anyway, here it is - The Progressive Caucus gets on TV today, and holds up copies of the Pandora Papers. They make a statement that this is exactly the thing that Kyrsten Sinema is trying to defend, by insisting that zero taxes should be raised as part of this bill.

(2,574 posts)out of the Senate in 2024 will not change her mind.
Her job is to help McConnell destroy President's agenda, the Democratic party, and democracy in the US by continually obstructing President Biden's agenda, in order to ensure a Republican takeover of the House and Senate in 2025.
She will be richly rewarded for her service to those who wish to end democracy in the US.
Senate minority leader thinks Republicans have found their secret weapon in Arizona's puzzling Democratic senator
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has privately assured his Republican colleagues that centrist Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., is likely to block President Joe Biden's proposed tax hikes on the wealthy and corporations, according to The Washington Post.
Biden has introduced a $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan that would be paid for with tax increases on corporations and a $1.8 trillion "American Families Plan" that would be funded with higher taxes on the wealthy and investors and increased IRS enforcement. Republicans are pushing a much smaller infrastructure counterproposal that would shift the tax burden from corporations to workers, and have loudly objected to the proposed tax increases. McConnell, however, does not seem worried about the hikes clearing the 50-50 Senate where a single Democrat can block any party-line vote.
McConnell has privately "reassured allies of Democrats' long odds in approving tax hikes, pointing in particular to the voting record of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema," according to the Post.
