She says she feels horribly guilty and is ashamed for the terrible things she did and said while working in the Trump White House.
She blames the absence of press conferences on Trump as he prohibited her from holding them.
It is always tough to figure these people out. She had a thousand opportunities to walk away. She claims she had an undated resignation letter in her desk drawer. However, it wasn't until Jan. 6th, after Trump had already lost re-election, that she resigned.
So many times we find out how people are such cowards when it comes to doing the right thing. She admits lying to save her job.
I think she is a person who does know the difference between right and wrong but was too weak to make the right choice.

(2,114 posts)Of course she feels shame for having thought and acted as a Republican. Natural to be ashamed of that.
Sad who the Republicans have become. Sad. Sick, and sad.

(13,558 posts)Probably.
She's going to have to do more than write a book to atone for working with the devil.

(47,131 posts)The book is just an opportunist way to make some money.
And re-hab her image with some of the population.

(58,785 posts)True or not, doesn't matter. She's demonstrated beyond any possible doubt t be profoundly dishonest and unprincipled, whether as a deceiver of self and others or just of others.

(47,131 posts)Bald face liar, no moral core, profound lack of judgement, opportunistic, untrustworthy.
We can take our pick of her personal traits pointing to lack of character.

(12,412 posts)I also recognize our need to open our hearts to them in hopes that more of them find the light of day. Eventually the totality of the crime will become ingrained in the American story. I always wondered how the Germans recovered after Hitler and now I understand it better.

(3,310 posts)This salary is the most they could ever earn. Who else would pay Boebert $174k?
Johnny McEntee? The golf caddy guy?
No shame in not earning..
I've never earned more than $50k.
But they are getting paid a lot for doing nothing good, and that was made possible by Trump's contempt for the common good.

(58,785 posts)She fears a reelected tRump, that there'd be draconian policies that "no one'll care about because they won't have to run for reelection again," and that there'd be retribution and revenge.
She thinks the "1/6 crowd" would be there. She didn't name names for those, but I'm guessing we'd find out who the inside traitors were.
Nothing surer than any of that if he were to get power again.

(5,124 posts)I wish the media would stop giving these people airtime to sell their books. This is just another grift. Shes not telling us anything we dont know. Trump is an awful person. Unless you have something to tell us that will get the orange turd locked up, I dont want to hear it. This was the same man that said he grabbed women by the pussy, habitually spouted racist crap. This woman like many others are morally bankrupt. As well as you took OUR money and didnt do the job you were paid to do.

(4,007 posts)Sure, she was a huge liar and more. Yet, methinks we are far better off now that she has opened a huge window into the totally rotten core of TFG's WH operations, people and more. We now have far more info than before and heck, she may have even given the FBI, courts, et all a leg up on on additional future prosecutions where law enforcement had no idea on nefarious dealings by TFG and his camp followers.
