That's despite Citizens United, Shelby v Holder, gerrymandering, a stacked court, and draconian voter repression tactics.
At this point, ending democracy is the only way they can remain in power.

Which is why their replacing election officials with goose-steppers and enacting laws allowing legislators to certify elections or not, and send alternative electors to the electoral college.

Electors are chosen by the party that wins the popular vote. So says SCOTUS 7/2020
