(15,325 posts)In a MAJOR loss for Trump, his ex-acting Attorney General, Jeff Rosen, agrees to testify to the January 6 Committee about his detailed, first hand knowledge of Trumps attempt to use the Justice Department to steal Bidens win.
Trump can't plug all the holes in the dam. One big leak & it's over.

Jeff Rosen, who helmed the Justice Department during former President Donald Trump's chaotic last weeks in office, is the second known former top DOJ official to have a scheduled interview with the panel. His deputy took questions from House investigators last week.
Rosen has detailed, firsthand knowledge of Trumps attempt to dragoon DOJ into his effort to overturn the 2020 election. But its unclear how much new information the panel will be able to get from him: Rosen has testified publicly about the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and took questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee for its separate probe into Trumps efforts to influence DOJ.
That Senate committee released a report on its investigation last week. A spokesperson for the Jan. 6 panel declined to comment on the slated appearance.

(145,242 posts)Rosen stopped Jeff Clark and TFG from sending the letter to Georgia and has already testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The account of Rosen was included in Senate Judiciary Committee interim report

Rosen, on the other hand, had a front row seat to treason.

(57,083 posts)... and it's not that I would not enjoy him getting kicked in the ass by the committee getting caught in the lies, but citing the fifth indicates he understands the rope is tightening.

(57,083 posts)... I don't think he was a believer, but he's no liberal, either. I think he liked his work and was hoping to be AG at some point.
I believe Rosen will be forthright and responsive. I have been wrong before.
