Would you take this deal?

Last edited Thu Oct 14, 2021, 01:26 AM - Edit history (2)

Here is a hypothetical deal. Would you take it?

Dems, DOJ, NYS, all agree to let Trump off the hook and to not prosecute him for anything.

If

Trump agrees to publicly state that Biden rightfully won the election, never again state the election was stolen, never again support any effort to overturn the election results, and to never run for public office.

Would you take this deal?

Deal or no deal?

On edit: this is a hypothetical. Of course if there was a deal Trump would break it. We couldn't trust him blah blah.... Stop. I'm just asking the hypothetical. What if you could have a guarantee that he would do those things, hypothetically. If it helps you understand my point, just pretend part of the deal is that if he breaks the rule he automatically goes to jail. This is an exercise in thought, not a real question that would ever be presented. Would it be worth it for the country? I would give it serious thought.

To say he's known for never holding up his end of a deal would be putting it mildly.

It's not that he wouldn't keep it; he's incapable of keeping it. That would be my main reason for not offering such a deal.

To a sociopath, "forgive and forget" is just an opportunity for more victimization.

He's gotten away with everything his whole life and doesn't believe he ever will be prosecuted in his own mind
