Yesterday, Carville was on Berman's show going on and on about how Democrats aren't selling the reconciliation bill. Even yelling that his mother had sold encyclopedias door-to-door. No one seems to notice that Democrats constantly talk about what's in the bill and the press ignores that and spews garbage about how much the bill costs and how 2 Democrats oppose it.

Today, Stephanie Miller hung up on a regular who was going to rant about how the Democrats never do anything about Trumpians ignoring subpoenas. Hooray. Enough!

Berman asked whose fault that was - the media, Biden or Dems in general. Franken basically said all of the above but mostly media who frame things.

Biden and all Dems should always talk about the goals the bills address, whether the media host wants to or not.

I also think they should deal with Manchin and Sinema by publicly listing the good things, then publicly asking what those two want to eliminate to get to their random dollar amount.

He's totally right (as are you) that we should bring it up at every opportunity.

I heard something yesterday about what Manchin objects to (anti-global warming initiatives) and Sinema objects to (medicare negotiating drug prices). OMG, could those two be any more corrupt? (Don't answer that, )

That's why I'd like to see them publicly asked to specify what they'd eliminate from the agreed-upon deal.

I sure wish Franken were still in the Senate. Or given a show on TV.

entrenched in DC's most exclusive social circles, the ones who "suffer" the traffic of temporary elected officials, like presidents. That's all the reason anyone in politics needs to maintain a "friendship" with her. Plus, socializing only with people who share your views is a recipe for losers when information and contacts, and alliances, are everything. You can bet Maddow has "friends" everywhere.

One big mistake Hillary made when Bill became president was in treating Mitchell like the enemy she already really was. Mitchell and her lcose circle had long been attacking her by spreading vicious lies, such as Hillary's lesbian relationship with her dog groomer. But the first lady is important, if usually looked down on by top society, and when Hillary didn't embrace Mitchell and her poison circle as "friends," constraining pretences were off. "They" included Bill Bradlee (as in WaPo) and his wife, Sally Quinn, who was still a WaPo columnist.

President Biden promised he’d stand up for Black lives. We mobilized in record numbers to deliver him the White House.

We’re still waiting for him to step up on ending police violence. On protecting our right to vote. On protecting Black migrants.

Keep your promises, @POTUS

law

Sounds almost like Killer Mike on Maher last week, blaming Biden

and as far as the infrastructure bills, the progressive caucus should understand that that Manchin and Sinema don’t care if Democrats have the majority. In fact, just before the Democratic primary Manchin made it very clear that if Sanders was the Democratic nominee, he would not support him against trump

That is the reality. Cori Bush speaks for her district. Other representatives speak for their districts.

Perhaps Cori should look at the facts

Biden selected an African American VP
Biden selected the first black Secretary of Defense
Biden selected Cecilia Rouse as the first African American to chair the council of Economic Advisors
Biden selected Michael Regan as the first African American to lead the EPA

African Americans account for 24% of Biden’s full cabinet

I could go on with judicial appointments and other area where Biden nominated or appointed African Americans, but more than that, it isn’t just African Americans that Biden has appointed, it is women, Hispanics, Native Americans, People from the LGBT community, etc

The President executes the laws that are in place.

What law is there that the Congress has passed that Biden can execute to stop police violence and protect voting rights?

What power does the President have unilaterally to stop police violence and protect voting rights?

I am curious, as another poster said, someone needs to explain this tweet.

The migrants, sure. That is something that Biden has more direct control of. From what I understand, the people who were abusing the Haitian refugees are under investigation and are currently off the job pending the findings.
