Bannon's calls & conversations with Roger Stone/Hannity/DeSantis etc. get no executive privilege
Yes there will be a legal bruhaha regarding EX-potus in regards to the Jan. 6 coup attempt. Nobody, NOBODY 100% percent sure which way it will turn out. But remember that YES EX-POTUS'S CAN INVOKE EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE EVEN AFTER THEY LEAVE OFFICE. Especially when said conversation and calls were made AT THE TIME THAT PERSON WAS STILL IN OFFICE.
It's not really his conversations with Trump I'm interested in. Steve Bannon is not going to implicate himself or TFG. That's just not going to ever happen.
But my point here is that Steve Bannon doesn't get to claim executive privilege on everything that happened leading up to Jan. 6th. The Select Committee should subpoena papers, calls, and, conversations that did not include TFG.
Executive privilege only covers a tiny fraction of Bannon's speech. It's not blanket immunity. Not by a long shot.
Did he speak with Proud Boys? Did he speak with Oath Keepers? Did he speak with Ali Alexander? Donald Trump Jr?
That's what I would find out first.
