Thats bullshi . Im not going to put up with that, Manchin told Politico when discussing the prospect of Democrats blocking the Republican agenda over the next two years.
Manchin didnt appear to be alone either. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) also talked about the need to get something done.
Our caucus needs to take a hard look at the way we do things and make sure we are putting the policy issues first before politics, McCaskill told Politico. The habit we got into in doing nothing, no one was happy with that. I hope that we never go back to that.

(24,689 posts)I just noticed the date. McCaskill still shows up as a pundit and is usually still not particularly helpful.

I have seen it's ratings posted here (almost always by the same tiny group of posters) since I joined. Its database is often woefully out of date (go look at the data points for the longer-serving Senators and Reps) as well.
It is a joke of a site. To try and use it as some sort of 'gotcha' and also imply that it is a definitive source that concretely settles debate on the actual ideological spectrum of a person is a classic appeal to authority logical fallacy.

(16,757 posts)Cori Bush is far to Claire McCaskill's left. She actually uses the words "defund the police."
With that being said though, I agree with you that McCaskill was a reliable liberal, and it cost her her Senate seat for it.

The sooner he's made irrelevant the better (and Sinema).
