Faced with daily criticism for not releasing details of its investigations, the US Department of Justice announced today that it is launching a new page on the DOJ's website to allow citizens to sign up to receive daily reports and updates on all activities. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland made the announcement on October 9, 2021. He said, "People want the latest info on our investigations. We understand that. However, we cannot release such information to just anyone. So, we're going to collect certain information from individuals who wish exclusive notification of the details of our confidential investigations. We are doing this to increase our department's transparency."
A spokesperson for the DOJ provided the details. Those wishing these reports and updates can now sign up on the DOJ's new page. After supplying their full name, Social Security Number, birthdate, routing numbers and account numbers for their checking and savings accounts, along with their email address and passwords for their Facebook and Twitter accounts, they will be added to the list to receive these daily reports. Allow 2-4 weeks for data processing.
Those wishing to receive such information should go to www.DOJ.ru/phishingexpedition
