(1,481 posts)Moderna booster which they are now giving. Was advised to get booster two weeks after flu shot. Meanwhile, my local hospital which is part of a healthcare system, has no updated info on boosters.

(149,724 posts)Today was the first day for the Moderna vaccine.
We belong to a hospital group too, and haven't heard anything about these boosters. I'm a little surprised, actually.
But anyway, we are about to be protected! It's a couple of weeks, I think.

(5,301 posts)I was a walk-in. I went with mix-and-match. Last March, it was hard to find any vaccine in Oregon, so I went with what they would give me, and had to drive 250 miles to get that.
So today I got Moderna on top of my Johnson.

(6,292 posts)I figured with the atmospheric river coming in, it might be fine to be in bed. I was really hurting from the second dose of Pfizer.
Costco was only giving Moderna today, said I could come back Monday. But I decided to live on the wild side and do a mix and match.
So glad that you are protected! Im feeling relieved!

(149,724 posts)I'm glad you're protected too, my dear Tumbulu.

(32,791 posts)I think I'll try that too. The Rite Aids, Walgreens and Giant Eagle pharmacies aren't so busy right now.

(149,724 posts)My husband beat me to the punch with his appointment and then there weren't any left for today.

(12,407 posts)I was the only one at the pharmacy. So I guess we can be sore arm sisters tonight, Ha ha ha. Hope were all fine and dandy in the morning.
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,724 posts)And so far, I haven't had any soreness. It's been 7 hours since I got the vaccine. I wonder if I'll feel anything.
Hope you feel really well tomorrow, my dear tavernier!

(12,407 posts)Arm started hurting about midnight and then I spiked a fever enough to crawl under two heavy blankets. Interrupted sleep and some stomach issues. But it started subsiding just a little while ago. Now only my arm is sore and itchy. Hope you fared better.
Maybe Ill try for a few more winks

(149,724 posts)I'm staying home today. Thank goodness there's stuff in the fridge for dinner.

(12,407 posts)Only souvenir is sore arm. I think we made it.
So glad to hear that. I am beginning to feel a bit better, arm still swollen and sore, but I think I can handle that.
More that chills and stomach distress. And everything hurting.
