Oh, Woe is Thee, GOP

You probably thought that when Trump was elected president, the TV 'reality show' host would be content with photo-ops between rounds of golf, and the occasional appearance alongside the power-hungry wannabes willing to play-along-to-get-along.

But then he actually started to believe his own hype - i.e. that he actually knew what he was doing, despite all evidence to the contrary. And you had no choice but to support his inanity and his insanity, because you cowered in fear at the thought of doing otherwise.

You then started to notice that the guy you thought would be satisfied with cutting ribbons at ceremonial events was determined to govern a nation - and you watched, slack-jawed and incredulous, as he appointed incompetent but on-board lackeys to positions of power. And you came up with excuse after excuse as to why those lackeys were suited to their positions.

When your 'pResident' went against your party's alleged principles - like being a self-declared pussy-grabber whose closest allies proved to be corrupt actors requiring pardons for their crimes - you chose to look the other way and insist that people like Flynn and Manafort were actually patriots who had been misunderstood.

And then after four years of obvious wrongdoing, you now insist that the January 6th insurrection was merely a spontaneous peaceful protest that somehow got out of hand - again, all evidence to the contrary.

You've been had, Republicans. You've been had by a grifter who you thought you could control - but couldn't. You've been outsmarted by a 'reality show' flim-flam man who led you to believe that his goal was to save your party, when his real goal was to steal it - or destroy it if his personal demands aren't met.

There is nothing more pitiful than an entire political party clinging to the belief that a corrupt, lying blowhard is their only salvation.

It’s incredible this inept, corrupt creature made his way in to the White House, and how evil and immoral are the ones that facilitated his path to it. It’s incredible there are so many in the US that embraced such a foul being.

He is one of them. They believe in his principals and morals. They are all the same greedy liars working for their own power and glory.

That this creature was allowed to be anywhere near the levers of power and that he and his ilk may indeed destroy America for good and for all.

Pointing out these obvious facts hasn’t meant a whole lot because half of the people love this asshole, his party and the destruction they stand for. Republicans always come back worse and when they come back next time, it’ll be the last time.

morality. If the only way to win is to cheat, then let us always win. That has led to a "Basket of Deplorables", or sometimes called "his base".

Very strange times we live in, just hope we live thru it.

except the GOP doesn't exist any more, it is now the GQP and the GQP has a very good chance of taking back Congress. We underestimate them at our own peril.
