Last edited Tue Oct 26, 2021, 05:28 PM - Edit history (1)

NEW - In the Senate Democratic lunch, Schumer and Wyden discussed a new corporate minimum tax, according to a Democrat in the lunch. It got major support in the caucus. Finance Cmte expected to release text today, before “Billionaire Income Tax.”

UPDATE:

NEW-@kyrstensinema publicly endorses minimum corporate tax

“This proposal represents a commonsense step toward ensuring that highly profitable corporations — which sometimes can avoid the current corporate tax rate — pay a reasonable minimum corporate tax on their profits”

As soon as the donors tell them -- we'll know.

Hell, even if they set it ridiculously low (like 5%) that would be 5% more than Amazon paid last year.

Wyden/Warren/King roll out the 15% corporate minimum tax.

They describe it as an AMT but for profitable corporations.

King estimates it’ll raise $300 billion over 10 years, will “dovetail” worldwide minimum tax.*

Warren says Biden and Yellen are supportive. “They’re on board.
