My teeth can't do those anymore, however. Aside from that, Reese's cups are the gold standard of halloween candy.

I buy Starburst, Skittles, Sweet Tarts, Gummy Bears, and the like-- because I personally WON'T be tempted to eat them. Important since I haven't had hardly anyone come by the past several years so odds are I'll have most of it leftover.

However…when my parents lived in St. Maries, ID, Dad always bought the fun size Sugar Daddy suckers. They lived on a street the trick or treaters didn’t go up so the only two trick or treaters he ever got were his two granddaughters…therefore, since he was going to have to eat the whole bag he got what he liked.

I know I'm not supposed to tell you this, but left Twix & right Twix are the same. Everything you've heard is just marketing!

Big Twix fan here! Plus, Milky Way, Snickers, Reese's, & Baby Ruth.
Oh, & the $100,000 bar!

Even as a kid I found I liked Dark Choc better - thus Hershey's Special Dark. Also liked their ?Crackle w rice crispies, the ?good bar one with peanuts. Kisses.

Non Pareils.

M&Ms.

I love Reese's but they weren't around yet.
Still not a big fan of caramel, though I liked some Cracker Jack's. Did they ever mix CJs and while peanuts together? 🤔

wrapped in a paper tube, right?

Did you ever get a chance to taste the dark chocolate Snickers that were out four or five years ago?

Sublime.

But they discontinued them. I was crushed.

There are a tonne of great Swedish candies as well.

Most every Swedish supermarket has a giant wall of lösgodis (loose candy)

And very few RW gits, at least not the US-style, out in the open, in your face types.

I love it here, somewhat to my surprise. After one year I was so homesick for London, but the 2nd year was better, and my wife is also content for now. It deffo is not for everyone, but if you approach Sweden on its own terms, the rewards can be great indeed. The stress levels are crazy low, and there are tonnes of cultural events, etc.

We came here for my post grad and her work, plus wanted to live outside of London some more and going back to the US was never on the menu. Especially for my wife, she doesn't like the US much at all other than to play tourist. 2 years there (whilst I read for my MBA) was enough for her.

Not sure where we move to next. Have a few acceptable places, but one (Hong Kong) is rapidly fading away due to the Chinese crackdown. For now we stay in Stockholm and just travel when it all becomes a bit too 'close' and our wanderlust kicks in. Covid has affected this, obviously, but it is slowly opening up, faster in some areas.
