And yes, I know that's an incredibly high bar to clear.

(1,680 posts)How to put toothpaste back in tube. Toothpaste tubes are made with plastic.
Unscrew the tube top cap and squeeze the paste out on a small plate and replace the top cap.
Cut the tube bottom off with scissors just above the end.
With a blunt knife, spread the two sides apart to open the tube at the bottom.
Scrap the paste off the plate with the knife and scoop it into the tube from the bottom.
With needle nosed pliers squeeze the bottom ends back together and push the paste to the tube top.
With the pliers, hold the bottom together about 1/4 up from the tube end.
Use a lighter to melt the plastic until it gets very soft (caution, do not touch the hot plastic).
Move the pliers down to squeeze the hot ends together and hold until cool. You may fold the ends a little to insure a tight seal.
The toothpaste is back in the tube and ready for use.
Caution do not breath the hot plastic fumes. Well, maybe just a little at the end.

(19,204 posts)when you're trying to do it with a country though.
I get what you're saying. I believe I'll just keep my toothpaste inside the tube from the start. I'm not one to try everything just to see if it can be done, but thanks for the "tip".

(8,756 posts)Chucker Carlson is airing a special he does though Fox, but not main stream, in-sighting a bloody revelation. Alex Nones style go kill non Patriots. Some people need a beat down. HE is leading a war from within. And his pasty puffy dough boy self will be nowhere near the bullets. Just furrowing his brow of concern, tucked safely in his Fox studio. Pro Life and all Jesusy!

(8,756 posts)If 25+- people in our media and government just vanished, the billions plus of people on Earth would be much better off. Small sacrifice for the whole. Putin style vanished. The all fully support Putins tactics.

(13,571 posts)I can write a post about this later. The short version is this.
News entities (print) are credentialed by five peers elected to the Standing Committee of Correspondents in Congress.
Has anyone ever heard of that committee? Can we see the power that committee holds?
And that's just print media. Who assigns credentials to broadcast media?
Does anyone ever wonder why OANN and FOX -- with goal to destroy the country -- are credentialed and allowed to act as if they are legitimate news gatherers?
Why does the general public not have any information about this process?
The White House Correspondents Association used to be deeply involved in the credentialing. It's now toothless.
Here's a link to information about the Standing Committee, its board and its daily work. [link:https://pressgallery.house.gov/about-gallery/history-congressional-press-galleries|
Here are the members of the committee, currently. The third one isn't even a news gathering entity, but rather a company that aggregates the work of others.

Jonathan Salant, NJ Advance Media, Secretary

(210 posts)Oh wait, someone shot up a rally Rep. Gabby Giffords was hosting in Tuscon. Matter of fact, they named it the Tuscon Massacre because 19 people were shot. There's a history of this, people. I can only think that Fox is looking for a repeat.

(133 posts)1st thing I did was throw it in the face of a rightie. He comes back and tells me that it doesn't appear on Fox and Friends. So I Google it only to find the gun sights were not there. I don't know how to explain that. I trust Oliver Willis, but I would like someone to explain this because I don't want to lose any argument with a rightie. Help!
