Who acted like Manchin and Sinema but with Trumps agenda. What I wouldnt have given for that! To have them completely stymie his agenda. Trump would have gone berserk. But that never happened because somehow the Rs are all bought and paid for. And they had enough money to buy for two of ours while they were at it.
Its time to call a spade a spade and start treating these two like the Rs they are. They arent Dems.
Every time Sinema appears on video shes with Republicans. And Joe was logged as having spent a weekend in Mitchs home town over the summer. The gig is up folks. These people only appear on our side.

I'm still waiting.
I was so bummed that Collins took Maine again

Then he died, and we got Denim Vest Sinema.
I'll admit she's an improvement over McCain

(34,857 posts)Trump's legislative accomplishments are very small because he could not get much through, despite having a strong majority at the beginning of his presidency. Outside his tax cuts, which any Republican, even a moderate Republican, and the COVID aid, he didn't get much through.
Where he was devastating was by filling judicial seats - and there's no indication either senators have really impeded on that front.

Never heard of Lisa Murkowski and John McCain?
The real difference is that they handled their internal disputes better. Imagine if leadership went to Manchin/Sinema in January and actually figured out what the best bill was that could get 50 votes... and then just advertised that?

He did what he said he would - obstructed Democrats at every turn

(68,593 posts)They are in lockstep now because they are the opposition...and we held tough in the early trump years before we had the house and limited what McConnell could do.

It's so very easy to obstruct, much harder to try to accomplish something intelligent, big or complex.
