You can see some of Diego Rivera’s fantastic murals. Many in other places, mostly Mexico, but SF really celebrated him.

Diego Rivera was older and started his career earlier. Frida Kahlo was a young student when she married him in 1929. So if this article was published around that time it would make more sense since her career was just beginning. It's a woman author.
