If you express annoyance at the utter absence of real accountability in the wake of 1/6, you'll get chastised for your lack of faith.

And heaven help you if you engage in hyperbole along the way, because the exaggerated comments of an anonymous internet poster are a far greater crime than any mere assault upon our government.

Some stories have more sugar than others.

If you want pure scum, watch a documentary or Fox.

Less than 1 out of 100 screenplays have a prayer of being produced. More like 1 out of 10,000.

Few are about politics.

Of the Mission Impossible movies with Tom Cruise, only 1 had politician in a key role.

With the advent of cell phones, opportunities are up.

But in the current situation, the overwhelming majority of insurrectionists are being let off with minor sentences and a stern finger-wagging.

Regardless, I encourage you to maintain your vigil. It's quaint to see such blind faith in a system that had done little or nothing to earn that faith.

Its based on a responsible President nominating a responsible Attorney General.

As for the insurrectionists, the light sentences are for the people who broke in but didn't engage in violence. THOSE cases are taking more time, since they're more complicated and need more solid evidence. See how this works?

And I like how your tone suggests that somehow you're the only one clever enough to see the big picture. You're so fucking clever! Damn, I wish we were all as fucking clever as you!

If our reasonable AG plays his cards right for another year or so, he'll be able to parlay this into a GOP sweep of the House and Senate so that the whole thing will magically go away.

I'm gratified that I'm not the only one who recognizes your nonsense. Keep on keeping the faith, true believer!

THE TRIAL OF THIS CHICAGO SEVEN.

The riots occurred in July, 1968.

The Grand Jury indictments occurred in March 1969.

The trial began in September 1969.

The verdict was delivered in February 1970.

Nineteen months.

The PROTESTS occurred in August 68, not July.

The Johnson DOJ decides there is no grounds for prosecution.

Nixon is elected

Mitchell is sworn in AG late January.

He tells his DOJ to find something to prosecute the Chicago 7.

Less than 2 months later, They are indicted.

It is now 9 months after Jan 6th. Where is the Grand Jury? Where is the investigation of Congress people and Trump Administration officials who were involved? Where are the subpoenas? Where are the arrests? What has the Garland DOJ done about those behind Jan. 6th?

You example proves the opposite of what you were trying to show.

And that scene from the end when they remove the president for allowing his insane plans to go through and nearly kill half the population? Not only would that not happen, his supporters would have endless debates about whether or not it was legal and constitutional. And there would be endless Facebook debates about it, and Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity would be going off every night about how it should have happened.
