So I fly as a private pilot and have some friends in the airlines. Everything in a cockpit is recorded and the tape apparently doesnt say what the AP reporter said it did. The flight was out of Houston and the pilot said Lets Go Braves referring to the World Series not Lets go Brandon.
This is probably going to turn into a fake media blitz by the pukes.

(707 posts)The one Southwest is bound to release is much cleaner. I do not have a copy of it.

(5,803 posts)According to the Associated Press, the pilot used the line on the morning of October 29, 2021, on a Southwest flight that originated in Houston and was headed to Albuquerque.
Probably best to wait for the investigation.

(94,598 posts)"Southwest does not condone Employees sharing their personal political opinions while on the job," the airline said in a Sunday statement. "Southwest is conducting an internal investigation into the recently reported event and will address the situation directly with any Employee involved while continuing to remind all Employees that public expression of personal opinions while on duty is unacceptable."
The Associated Press, which had a reporter on board the flight, first reported that a pilot of a Friday flight from Houston to Albuquerque ended his typical greeting to passengers with the phrase "Let's go Brandon," which has become right-wing code for "F**k Joe Biden." The AP report said passengers responded with audible gasps.

The issue is not really whether he said "Let's Go Brandon" or "Let's Go Braves". Its what else he said in the public announcement.

(4,007 posts)I found him quoted as saying, Were heading east at about 107 or 108 mph, clear visibility, mostly clear skies, about 77 degrees. Thanks for coming out, flying Southwest Airlines, welcome home and lets go Brandon."
Is there additional reporting that I haven't seen?

(1,879 posts)Considering TFG and his escort were hanging out at the Atlanta game chopping away, "Let's Go Braves" is just as offensive.
