Trump campaign blasted out curious payments the day after Jan. 6 riot -- to people not previously on the payroll

Donald Trump used the firm Event Strategies to help set up his rally that day, and it's become the preferred staging group for the former president and other Republicans despite its ties to the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol, reported The Daily Beast.

Trump's fundraising organizations have paid the firm about $800,000 since the insurrection, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, including a $31,358 payment on Aug. 13 by Make America Great Again Action, a the super PAC previously run by Corey Lewandowski shut down last month amid sexual assault allegations.

That he actually paid a debt he owed...

...Public records also show a number of curious payments on and around Jan. 6—including more than $25,000 in advertising that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) paid to right-wing social media platform Parler, with one transaction on the day of the riot.

In total, Trump’s fundraising apparatus has paid Event Strategies roughly $800,000 since Jan. 6, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics, with the latest payment coming on Aug. 13. That $31,358 expense was for “event staging,” and footed by Make America Great Again Action—the Trump-endorsed super PAC run by former top aide Corey Lewandowski which was shuttered earlier this month amid allegations that Lewandowski had sexually assaulted a donor.

None of the other top event management firms on Trump’s payroll between October 2020 and the riot have worked for him since Jan. 6.

But Trump is hardly the only Republican to pay Event Strategies this year...

The Center for Responsive Politics is better known here as Open Secrets. Here's some of what their website has to say about Event Strategies:

...Recent campaign finance records reviewed by OpenSecrets show Trump’s political operation continued to pay Event Strategies Inc., a firm named in a permit for the rally where two of the rally organizers worked. The firm received payments from Trump aligned super PAC Make America Great Again Action as recently as Aug. 13, FEC records filed Aug. 26 show.

Trump’s political operation paid Event Strategies more than $2.5 million since the start of the 2020 election with around $800,000 of that coming from Trump’s Save America leadership PAC and Make America Great Again Action super PAC in 2021.

Event Strategies is not the only vendor with Trump ties the Make America Great Again Action super PAC reported paying in its new FEC disclosure filed Aug. 26.

On July 15, the Make America Great Again Action super PAC paid $128,125 to Forward Strategies, a firm run by professional fundraiser Meredith O’Rourke, who was reportedly subpoenaed in federal prosecutors’ probe of longtime Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani. The super PAC also paid Red Elephant Strategy, a consulting firm run by Brian Walsh. He was president of America First Policies, the dark money arm of America First Action, Trump’s one-time super PAC of choice and a roughly $1.8 million donor to Make America Great Again Action...

It’s another piece of evidence to prove that January 6 was not only a preplanned insurrection, but that Trump himself is responsible for it.

The end result of all this has to be Trump, his minions and any member of Congress that played an active role in January 6 all sent to prison, preferably for life.

They held a rally, and they paid an event organizer to organize it. None of the pols or parties do that themselves. They all pay professional event organizers to do it.

Maybe I'm missing something here.

It teased you with until the last paragraph.

"The former president's campaign also paid out travel reimbursements to nearly 60 people, including many who had not previously appeared on the payroll, the day after the Capitol riot."

Paying off his fellow traitors? How do we know it was really for travel. And if it was for travel, we should have to and from addresses.

The piece of crap never pays his bills then suddenly he pays for travel? And pays for an organization that helps plan the Treason.

... what is curious or nefarious about that. Reimbursing people for travel experiences isn't a crime, let alone treason.

Guess I'll have to wait for more information to come out.

I was gonna write "jail." But now, "jail" isn't enough. "Jail" is too good. But I gotta tell you, with all this stuff coming out now, if something doesn't happen soon, I'm gonna bust. I'm so tired; it's not good. It's wearing me down. We've seen it all happen on TV. As a veteran, I want to go up and at least slap the traitor's face for the indignity and hubris of trying to do this to my country. As a senior, the fatigue leads to nightmares of fascists' takeovers and all support systems gone. In short, it all leads to a never ending case of PTSD since the TFG was elected.

We were told we would be shocked when the truth actually came to light because it was so much worse than what we actually knew. So far, I've not been shocked. The only that enrages me is the time it's taking to lock the traitors up and throw away the keys. IMNSHO, there are several dozens who should be righteously hanging as traitors from the gallows. Isn't that what we used to do? What happened to the Rosenstein couple? Should Matt Gaetz be behind bars right now for threats to the President and Congress for his latest statement? I understand wanting to do things step by step to get it right. But there's getting it right, and then there's getting walked all over until they trample us deep enough into the mud 'til we're six feet under. Where's the fight-back? Should THAT be the number one issue -- even above and beyond getting any legislation passed? And THEN the next issue be fighting all the voting restriction legislation. Believe me, coming from Kansas... just after Brownback, AND being a Senior who's Mom is in a memory care home, I understand things are really screwed up under Repug rule. But are my priorities so screwed up? To me... 1) Indict, convict, and imprison the traitors so they can NEVER hold office again. 2) fight ALL voter restriction laws. We are a democratic republic where freedom to vote is the law of the land. Period. Fight to uphold it for everyone of age. 3) Once those two BASIC things are accomplished, then start rebuilding the country with the laws and policies we need, such as BBB, human rights, human infrastructure, etc. And don't quibble over $$$. Once The People start to see Democrats mean business and that business means help for them, they will line up to help democrats.

I'm a lifelong democrat. I'll never vote any thing but democrat. But between seeing all Republican traitors get away with everything all the time, and seeing everything that could possibly helpful to us or those around us be stripped away or whittled to nothing, I'm ready to throw up my hands and give up. If I, who have always been as political as they come, can feel as defeated as this right now, how is the average person next door expected to feel -- let alone, the average progressive next door... or the average woman? We're all anxiety, all the time! Please, I just needed to rant. Don't yell... it'll just add to my anxiety. And I'm likely at this point to just go away and give it all up as not worth it anymore. I really need some sort of touchstone to hold on to. I like Joe. I really want him to succeed. I miss Franken. I don't think we have anyone right now that can bring the excitement and charisma to sausage making like he could. And I think that's what a lot of this is.... as well as the "all republican - all the time - everywhere" when I think they all need to be taken out and shot, as my daddy used to say.

Have we become so
