Joe Manchin (owner of his own coal company) was a headliner at a secretive coal CEOs' confab

PROOF MANCHIN PUTS HIMSELF FIRST

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), a key foil of Democratic plans to fight climate change, was a top speaker at a recent secretive confab of coal company executives.

Manchin’s role was revealed when the event program and a video touting the “Coal and Investment Leadership Forum” in September was unearthed by an investigative journalist for Documented. The three-day, invitation-only event was held in Virginia at the luxe Olde Farm golf resort, owned by Jim McGlothlin, a founding partner of the United Coal Co., Documented reported Monday.

Those attending — which included coal and energy CEOs and other top executives and bankers, according to an event roster — had to pony up $7,000, plus lodging expenses, according to a website’s information on the gathering, which was tracked by Documented.

Meanwhile, according to his financial disclosures, Manchin last year earned at least $490,000 from his co-ownership of Enersystems, a coal company he founded. (His Senate salary is $174,000). He owns as much as $5 million in stock in the company.

It's refreshing to see the Democratic congressional tools of the fossil fuel industry referred to as "right-wing Democrats."

No matter what. He’ll continue to move the goalposts until the rest of the caucus has no choice but to vote for the infrastructure bill and bbb will never pass.

The only thing to do is vote in more Democrats who are not beholden to fossil fuel and pharmaceuticals.

You can't golf, eat, stay, or even visit there w/out a member's invite and the menu doesn't even have
prices on it.

Joe is willing to sell out his constituents in W.V. and curse the planet with global warming so he can
eat beef tenderloins, lobster bisque, and baby redskin potatoes as he is drinking $300.00 red wine.

In other words, fuck you Democrats, you don't matter to me, just my wealth and money matters and I will fuck the country every way I feel like doing and you can't stop me. Repugs, your money was well spent, I will stop all major Democratic progress. So he told America, Democrats and the working class yesterday that there will be no progress. Everything else he said was a lie and he had to keep repeating it because no one believes that he is actually doing anything other than obstruction and he knows how incredibly destructive he was..

... on any issues that affected teaching staff income. My wife was a member of that union.

Why can Manchin have any say on issues that impact HIS businesses? He is opposing legislation that would affect climate change, energy price, clean air, etc, etc,.......

In my mind, that makes him as corrupt as TFG. "Requiring" U.S. citizens that were traveling doing government business (i.e., flight crews) flying in the vicinity of TFG's hotels (In Scotland) to stay in those facilities at full price.

TERM LIMITS won't solve all of these issues. But it will prevent legislators from having lifetime jobs (gerrymandering) to enrich themselves.

This blatant crap needs to stop.

Pennsylvania has 5,600 miles of dead waterways, polluted by the state’s historical coal mining industry. Cleaning up these rivers and streams would cost millions of dollars. The clean up would have to go on forever as the leaching of pollution into the streams cannot be stopped. Guess what the coal industry is paying nothing to clean up the mess they made. You can bet the coal barons families are still around.
Coal is filthy and has done great harm to this nation.
Now in Pa they are fracking for natural gas. With little control and lousy enforcement.
43rd Statewide Grand Jury Finds Pennsylvania Failed To Protect Citizens During Fracking Boom. ... Pa has a republican majority congress and no hope of controlling this blooming pollution. These pukes are allowing the frackers to do the same thing the coal barons did.
