people venting before the television cameras, just get to gather and pass the reconciliation infrastructure bill

The reality is there is a 50-50 Senate, and that limits things. We are six months into this, where after 3 months it was very clear where things were. We have a debt ceiling to deal with in December, which will need to be done through reconciliation, and holidays are coming up.

Add to that the high price of oil and inflation, we can’t continue this unending negotiations.

It is not a mystery why Biden’s favorability is low, and most of that isn’t Biden’s fault.

The Democrats in Congress better get their act together before next year

Earlier this morning, he was talking about taking something out of the BBB bill, and "trying to do it separately in a bi-partisan way".

DO YOU MEAN, JOE, LIKE THE VOTING RIGHTS BILL YOU WATERED DOWN, AND STILL DIDN'T GET A SINGLE REPUBLICAN TO GET ON BOARD?

He wants a BBB pause again, but at least did not say until 2022 (although 2022 is almost here anyway).

He says that Medicare expansion will crash an (his words) already almost (in 4 years) insolvent programme.

Says he supports Paid Family and Medical Leave, but that is HAS to be a bipartisan standalone bill.

Now he is whingeing on that coal is getting the hell beat out of it in America.

Now he is getting angry and doubling down that he will not bend.

So there you have it. When I see articles like that I come to the conclusion that it's the total opposite.

how will we justify that? Blaming Manchin, Sinema, progressives, or moderates, will not cut it with the voters.

Passage won’t guarantee doing well in the midterms, but not passing anything will be a disaster

That was my take. He also said use 2022 to get more progressives elected so they won't have to depend on him.

Beyond that though it was a pretty scathing commentary. I'm typing what I remember from memory as I was listening to this in the car but basically that we don't know the math in this. The real cost is likely to be twice what they are saying. We borrowing money to pay for this. When interest rates go up to slow down inflation that amount of money the we are paying on our debt is going to increase to cover borrowing more money at a higher interest rate.
