of the chuck todd school of broadcasting... he let manchin lie thru his teeth. The Heritage inst lie about the upcoming social security bankruptcy manchin uses all the time, SS can't go bankrupt. Berman should have said, read the Pew polls, America is not as you claim a "center right" nation...Senator how can you make such a foolish claim, in fact senator, your claims are all pretty much repub talking points, is the paper you're reading from, a repub hotshot?

Brianna Keiler would have ripped manchin to shreds, you can bet manchin refused to let Brianna interview him.

the country is "center, center, right".

and no, they did NOT mean on the ideological scale of most of the rest of the advanced nations (where it would be centre right to straight RW overall in comparison to many, and likely most)

14. Most American's like the Democratic agenda

Not everything perhaps, but Americans approve of many items that Dems are pushing for, especially when they're not identified as a Democratic issue vs Republican issue. If you ask people if they want increased taxes on billionaires or expanded healthcare (for example) they tend to agree with Democrats. And the more a person is educated on an issue, the more they tend to side with liberals.

The problem comes when a pollster says "do you agree with the Democrats or the Republicans on this issue?" Then they tend to side with Republicans. Republicans are MUCH better at messaging than we are.

As a Dem living in the U.K., my perspective from looking from the outside is he’s right on the country being centrist. I don’t like Manchin but… 🤷‍♀️

Even the party itself would be considered right wing in the U.K. (lots of issues I support in the us, such as gun control and universal health care, are already settled in the U.K.). And I don’t even like the tories!

The whole center right thing is a myth. A Republican myth in the same way 'trickle down economics' is a gigantic fairy tale the GOP will defend to the death.

These are all the small lies that led to the Biggest Lie ever.

If this is accurate, Manchin needs to button his mouth.
